Privacy

We collect nothing personal.

No accounts, no tracking, no adverts. This page says exactly what the site keeps, where, and why.

Last updated 10 October 2026.

The short version

  • There are no accounts, sign-ups or newsletters.
  • There are no tracking or analytics cookies, and no advertising or social-media scripts.
  • Fonts, search and every page are served from this site. Search runs on your device; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
  • A few display preferences are saved in your own browser, never sent to us.
  • If you flag a data issue, you choose to send it, and you choose how.

What we collect

Nothing that identifies you. thefixture is an independent, unofficial project built by one person; it is not affiliated with the AFL or any club. The site is a set of static pages. It does not ask for your name, email or location, and it does not build a profile of you.

We do not use analytics today. If we add visitor counts later, we will use a cookie-less tool that stores no personal information, name it on this page, and say what it records.

What stays on your device

The site uses your browser's local storage, not cookies, to remember a few choices you make. They stay on this device and this browser. These four choices are never sent to us or to anyone else.

Theme
Light or dark, if you pick one instead of following your system.
Times
Whether start times show in the ground's local time, your own time zone, or Melbourne time (AEST/AEDT).
My club
The club you choose to follow, so pages can highlight its games.
Round view
Whether round pages show the Summary or Cards layout, the last time you picked one.

To clear them, use the same control to unset the choice, or clear this site's data in your browser settings. In a private window they are forgotten when the window closes. Calendar files (.ics) you download are ordinary files you keep; if you subscribe to one, your calendar app fetches it from this site like any other page.

Flagging an issue

Every data point has a “Flag an issue” link. It opens a report prefilled with what you were looking at: the version, the match or rule, the field and the value shown. Nothing is sent until you send it yourself.

You can email your report to [email protected] instead. Email reports are not published.

Adding an email address to a report is optional. If you give one, we use it only to follow up on that report: to ask about a source or to tell you what we found. We do not add it to a mailing list, share it or use it for anything else.

A flag is a report for a person to check, never a fact. Nothing a visitor submits changes the fixture shown on the site.

Server logs

Like any website, the server that delivers these pages may record standard request logs: the address your request came from, the page asked for and the time. They are used only to keep the site running and secure, are not combined with anything else, and are kept for a short period (we aim for about 14 days).
